As a Senior Partnerships Manager your ultimate goal is to build successful, long-term partner relationships with our retail and merchant Partners. You are expected to aggressively recruit and scale the number of merchant partners that use our services. You ensure partners are happy, achieve significant growth, and maintain efficient processes.
Additionally, you provide product and technical support to partners and help build a scalable model for the business.
The goal is to market our premium refurbished phones through merchants. Most partners are relatively small and need handholding and onboarding. Our model is relatively new and it means you need to get your hands dirty and help us perfect how we will interact with partners.
You will need to be comfortable with rapid iteration and messiness while we figure this out together!.
Identifying and Recruiting Partner Shops:
Identify and contact potential partners who can participate in the MoPhones “Lipa Pole Pole” model.
Explain the benefits of partnering with MoPhones, emphasizing how it can enhance their bottom line.
Managing productive partner relationships
Achieve sales results through partner shops
Execute marketing activities, activation events and customer engagement campaigns to contribute to increased sales output.
Act as the main point of contact, addressing issues promptly
Directly train or coordinate training for sales staff and agents at shops on the sales process, required technical skills and key KYC details.
Cross departmental project management:
Work closely with internal teams like credit, product, customer experience operations and sales to streamline internal processes the right way and develop roadmaps for the project together with the project manager and make sure they are executed.
Sales team account management:
Manage a team of sales people
Recruit account managers responsible for partners operational management
Drive sales culture and develop sales team to achieve better results
At least 5 years’ management experience in sales and account management preferably in the telecommunication, retail or IT industry
Experience and large existing network in the mobile phone merchant industry
Strong sales and marketing skills with a focus on closing sales
Data savvy, knows how to create his/her own reports
Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and/or Google Suite
